SIXTEENTH NOTES

Sixteenth notes are everywhere! They are especially prevalent in styles where there is a lot of strumming. There are a ton of examples in funk, soul, RnB, James Brown, heavy metal, hardcore, classic rock, bluegrass, folk, pop....16th notes reign supreme - and it's a good idea for us to get comfortable with them.
Sixteenth Notes
- E (6th) string (Low) = mute or not strummed
- A (5th) string = mute or not strummed
- D (4th) string = mute or not strummed
- G (3rd) string = mute or not strummed
- B (2nd) string = mute or not strummed
- E (1st) string (High) = mute or not strummed
