TUNING, TUNERS, AND CHORDS
Written Materials for This Lesson
Fretting Hand - All strings open
Strumming Hand - Strum all strings, Downstroke

Congratulations! It is now time to learn your first chord in the open position! You may never use this chord - ever. So, it's a good thing that this will also be the easiest chord to learn. Most importantly, we learn how to tune the guitar. Please don't worry. It can take some time to learn how to tune. You do not need to get your guitar perfectly in tune if this is your first time trying. In order to get better at tuning and used to using a tuner, tune your guitar everytime you pick up your guitar to play. Your ear and ability to tune will improve.
