There are so many places to learn how to play guitar. It can be overwhelming!
My goal with the Joy of Jamming is to provide a course for total beginners.
- No prior guitar experience or musical knowledge is required.

The idea is for you to go through these videos in sequential order. We begin with the very basics and cover the
core fundamentals.
As you progress, you'll develop gig-ready skills.
The content on this site is applicable to most genres of music. So, no matter what style of music you choose to play, the techniques taught in these lessons will apply.
A Final Note: Music can be noisy and even aggressive, but I make a conscious effort to teach
the beginner lessons
in a calming manner so that children and those dealing with stress-related or nervous-system difficulties can
take
part. Sure, some of the lessons get rocking when the tempo increases. But I hope you find these lessons warm
and welcoming. My intention
is to create a friendly and nurturing environment where we can all learn together.
