- E (6th) string (Low) = mute / not strummed
- A (5th) string = not strummed
- D (4th) string = open
- G (3rd) string = first (1st) finger, second (2nd) fret
- B (2nd) string = third (3rd) finger, third (3rd) fret
- E (1st) string (High) = second (2nd) finger, second (2nd) fret
